As a result of the California Supreme Court’s decision, the Redevelopment Agency “South El Monte Improvement District” was dissolved on February 1, 2012 and the Successor Agency was created to receive the assets and liabilities of the former District. The Successor Agency manages redevelopment projects that are currently underway, makes payments listed on the Enforceable Obligation Payment Schedule (EOPS) and Recognized Obligation Payment Schedule (ROPS), and disposes of the District’s assets and properties directed by the Oversight Board.
As required by AB26, the City Council approved Resolution No.12-04; making the City of South El Monte as the Successor Agency and adopting Enforceable Obligation Schedule.
